some of the people >some은 대명사 역할 

some/ any/ none many/ much (a)few/ (a)little all/ most/ half/ each/ one	of	the my/ your등 this/ that these/ those	+ 명사
all/ half	X	the...	+ 명사

예문: 
I invited some of my neighbors to the barbecue on Saturday.

of the 의미 차이 

some/ many of ~:   특정한 대상 지칭	I have been to many of the museums in Paris. Some of those trees do not have flowers.
some/ many + n : 일반적인 대상 지칭	Many museums will not allow you to take pictures. I want to plant some trees in my backyard.

 

단수 동사와 복수 동사 구분 

The storm was terrible. Half of the city was flooded.

Most of the countries in Asia have long histories.

Each of these mugs belongs to a different person.

all/ most/ half/ some/ any/ none	of the (my, this...)	가복 / 불단	복수/ 단수 동사
