many와 much 

many + 복수 명사	Many rooms in our dorm are empty now. People do not send many postcards these days.
much + 셀 수 없는 명사	Is there much space in your car? I need to bring a big suitcase. The pasta did not take much time to cook.

 

many (긍정문, 부정문, 의문문 = a lot of/ lost of)

예문:
I have many cousins(긍).
Do you have many cousins?(의)
No, my family is small. I do not have many cousins.(부)

Krystal gets a lot of/ lots of homework, so she does not have a lot of/ lots of free time.
Do a lot of/ lots of theaters close on Mondays? No. Just this one.


much (부정문, 의문문 아니면, 긍정문은 so, too, very와 함께 )

예문:
I do not drink much milk.
Do you drink much milk?
Yes. I drink a lot of/ lots of milk.

There is so much dirt on the carpet. I need to clean it. 긍정문

(a) few/ (a) little

(a) few + 가복/ (a) little + 불단  a few/ a little (긍정문)	I have a few things to do before I leave. I put a little butter on your toast for you. Thanks!
few/ little (부정) > 의미: 거의 없다	Few places allow smoking these days. I have little patience when I am busy.
