의문사가 있는 의문문 

의문사가 있는 의문문

Who, who, whose, what, which, when, where, how, why

What	is	it	rainning outside?
	has	Tim	been doing lately?
how	can	you	call me later? I am busy at the moment.
	did	Jen	Get home? She took a taxi.

 

의문 형용사
what/ which/ whose + n (time, tie... 등) 

What	time	is	it	right now?
which	tie	should	I	wear?
whose	laptop	did	you	borrow?
what	year	was	your sister	bornˀ?

 

의문 부사
how + adj/ adv (tall, fast 등) 

How	tall	is	Tokyo Tower?
How	fast	can	you	type?
How	long	have	you	been teaching art?

 

what 의문문 만들기 

That book is about Egypt.
> What is that book about?

예문:
Who did you go to the beach with? I went alone.
Where are you walking to? The grocery store.
Ann has been standing there for a while. Who is she waiting for? Her boyfriend.
I need a hobby. Well, what kinds of things are you interested in?

 

What ~ for? : ~은 무엇을 위한 것이가요? 무엇 때문에 ~하나요?	What this button for? It turns on the printer. Ouch! What did you hit me for? Sorry. It was an accident!
What ~ like? : ~은 어떤가요?	What are your bosses like? They are usually friendly. I went to the new restaurant last night. Really? What is it like?

 

who 의문문 만들기 

Rachel invited someone. 누구를
> Who did Rachel invite?

Someone invited Chris. 누가
> Who invited Chris?

의문문 주어 who/ what/ which (의+동)	Who is helping the old lady? Luvas. What is in that box? It is a new wallet. I have eaten the steak and the pasta here. Which is better? Who has taught you to dance? My sister has. She is a dance teacher.
의문문 주어/ 의문 대명사  who/ what/ which (의 +동)  (일반 동사 문장에서) 주어 앞에 do, does, did를 쓰지 않음	What caused the accident? A deer jumped in front of the car. Who called you last night? Richard did. Which travels faster? Sound or light? Light.

 

who와 whom의 비교 

의문문의 목적어 whom >의+동+주 (일반 동사에서) 주어 앞에 do, does, did를 씀	Who is Lucas helping? What did you but at the mall? Which does Jim prefer, steak or pasta? Who can we ask about gardening? What did Emily bring to class?
목적어 의문사 who 대신 whom 사용 가능 But 일상대화에서는 who 선호	Who did you meet yesterday? > Whom did you meet yesterday? Who is Tony marrying? > Whom is Tony marrying?

 

의문사 (what/ which/ whose/ how many 등) + n

의문사 (what/ which/ whose/ how many등) +n 의문문의 목적어나 주어로 사용가능 목적어 로 사용하는 경우	What sports do you play? Which camera should I buy? I cannot decide. Whose classes are you taking next semester? How many people have you hired this month?
의문사 (what/ which/ whose/ how many등) +n 의문문의 목적어나 주어로 사용가능 주어로 사용하는 경우	What sports are popular in Brazil? Which camera costs less? I want the cheaper one. Whose classes are the most interesting? How many people have visited the Grand Canyou this year?

 

 

정리 

의문사가 없는 의문문:	Be, have, can, do 동사가 주어 앞으로
의문사가 있는 의문문:	의문사+ be, have, can, do동사가 주어 앞으로 단 의문사가 주어면 (일반동사 의문문의 경우) do, does, did는 쓰지 않는다.
의문사 중 what, which, whose는 뒤에 명사가 나온다. 의문사 중 how는 뒤에 '형용사, 부사'가 나올수 있다.
