형용사 = 분사 

형용사 = 분사 

 

동사를 분장하여 형용사처럼 사용 

예문:
The crying baby is Justin.
He is crying because of the broken toy.

 

 

-ing  VS  과거분사 pp
-ing

> 직점 하는 일(능동), 지금 하고 있는 일(진행), 

> ~하는, ~하고 있는 
The departing passengers are boarding the plane now.
Do you see that shining star in the sky? Wow! It is so bright.
Be careful of passing cars when you cross the street.
Our town is getting crowded because of the growing population.
과거분사(pp) 

> 사람(물)에게 일어나는 일 (수동)

> ~된, ~해진 be+pp
Only invited guests may attend the party.
The accident was caught on a hidden camera. The video provided good evidence.
If you have any questions, please ask our trained staff.
I would like to request a refund for the damaged goods. OK. Just a moment, please.

 

 

n + ing  VS  n + pp
명사 + ing + 꼬리 목적어 명사
(뒤에서 꾸미는 현재분사)
The man carrying the suitcase looks like Mr. Jones.
The river flowing through Paris is the Seine.
Do you know those girls sitting over there? No. Do you?
Who owns the cat playing in the street? She is mine.
명사 + 과거분사 + 꼬리 부사, 전치사...
(뒤에서 꾸미는 경우)
The articles published in that newspaper are usually interesting.
The seats reserved for us are near the windows.
Your present is the box wrapped in blue paper.

~ interest  v. ~를 흥미롭게 만들다.
Interest: v. ~를 흥미롭게 만들다.
Interesting: 흥미로운
Interested: 흥미로워하는

예문:
I was interested.
The book was interesting.
The book interests/ interested.

 

 

-ing(사람 또는 사물이)     ~한 감정을 일으키는 
예문: 
Chris is telling a story.
The story is interesting.
They are interesting in the story.

 

긍정:
amazing (감탄스럽도록) 놀라운, 굉장한                                  exciting 신이 나게 하는, 흥분시키는
interesting 흥미를 일으키는, 흥미로운               satisfying 만족스러운                   relaxing 마음을 편하게 해주는

예문:
John played really well at the music festival. He was amazing.
He breakfast at the hotel was not satisfying.
I had a very relaxing weekend.

 

부정:
boring 지루하게 하는                         tiring 피곤하게 하는                              annoying 짜증 나게 하는 
depressing 우울하게 하는                 disappointing 실망시키는                     frustrating 좌절감을 주는 

예문:
Is that book good? No, it is boring.
Those people are annoying to scientists.
Dancing in front of people was embarrassing. 

 

 

-ed(사람이) ~한 감정을 느끼는
긍정:
amazed (감탄스러울 정도로 대단히) 놀란                         excited 신이 난, 흥분한
interested 흥미를 느끼는                 satisfied 만족한                          relaxed 마음이 편안한

예문:
I was amazed by John. He played the guitar so well.
Are you satisfied with your new car? Yes!
I fell relaxed when I am lying on the beach.

 

 

부정:
bored 지루해지는                             tired 피곤한, 지친                              annoyed 짜증 난
depressed 우울한                            disappointed 실망한                          frustrated 좌절한 

예문:
If you are bored, let's go out somewhere.
We were annoyed because Tim was late again.
My computer is not working. I am so frustrated.

 

 

감정타동사 + 목적어 (사람) ~ 를 하게 만들다 
frightened 무서워하는 겁먹은                 shocked 충격받은                         surprised 놀란 
confused 혼란스러워하는                       puzzled 어리둥절해하는                embarrassed 당황한 

예문:
I was frightened by a bat. It flew right at me.
We were surprised by the price of the apartment.
Max was embarrassed after he fell on the stairs.
