영어 기타 전치사(preposition)

 

 

전치사 during & for 을 사용하는 경우

during:  '~동안에'   => during + 명사 

ex:   
during the day,    during the basketball game,   등등

예문: 
I went wo Italy during my holidays. 

Did you visit many places during you trip to Ireland? 

※ during + the day , the basketball game 등: ~동안에 +명사 

 

for: '~ 동안(내내)'   => for + 숫자

ex:
for a second,   for three years,     등등 

예문: 
I have known Keivin for a long time.
We cleaned the house for two hours. 

※ for + a second, three years 등 :~ 동안(내내) 숫자 

 

 

전치사 in & within 을 사용하는 경우 

in => in + 10 mimutes, two hours 등 (기간): ~ 후에 

 

ex:

The store will close in two hours.  in: '~후에'  => 미래시제 사용

 

within => within + 15 mimutes, four days 등 (기간): ~이내에 

ex:

Please pay this bill within four days.

 

 

전치사 from / to / since 을 사용하는 경우

from ~ to: ~부터.... 까지

ex:

from 9 to 6 p.m.

from 2020 to last year 

from 12 p.m.(to 생략가능)

 

since + 과거 시점: ~부터(계속)  => 현재완료시제 사용

ex:

This museum has been open since 1990.

Tom has beeb on vacation since Tuseday. 

 

 

전치사 by / until 을 사용하는 경우

by: (늦어도 정해진 시점) ~까지 +시점  => 딱 그 시점까지 

ex:

You should drink this milk by June 17.

 

until: (특정 시점) ~까지 계속 + 시점   =>  그 시점까지 계속되는 상황에서 

ex:

The road will be closed until Friday. 

 

 

전치사 with / with out 을 사용하는 경우

with: ~와 함께 => ~(신체적 특징)을 가진, (도구)를 사용하여

ex:

He is running with a dog.

Piter is the onlu boy with green eyes in his clasess.

You have to write your answers with a pen. 

 

 

without: ~없는 /없이 

ex:

I can't imagine life without the Internet.

You must not drive without a license. 

We have to start the meeting without Jenny.

 

 

전치사 by  사용하는 경우 

by + taxi, bicycle 등 (교통수단): ~을 타고

ex:

How did you get here? We came bu taxi.

 

about : ~에 대한 /대해 + 소재

ex:

I'm looking for a book about Peru.

 

for: ~에 대해

ex:

Thank you for the advice

 

like: ~처럼

ex:

He is a doctor, like his father. 

 

of: ~의

ex:

What is the name of this band?

 

 

전치사 뒤에 동명사

Betty left without saying goodbye.

Please tell me about woking at the gym.

Robert is very good at singing.

Tourists asked me how to get to the station, so I helped them by showing them the way.
